Cookie Policy
Effective date: 24 August 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — for example, that you are logged in, or that you have previously made a cookie preference choice.
Similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags can perform comparable functions and are covered by this policy where applicable.
2. How we use cookies
Easy Everyday Baking uses a very small number of cookies. We do not currently use cookies for analytics or advertising. The cookies set on this site are limited to those strictly necessary for operating the admin area and those used by the Cloudflare Turnstile security widget on the contact form.
3. Cookie categories
Strictly Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take such as logging in. As a public visitor (not an admin), no strictly necessary cookies are set on your device.
| Name / Pattern | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase | Admin session authentication. Set only when an admin logs into the private content editor (/admin). Not set for public visitors. | Session / 7 days |
Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable enhanced features. They are set only on specific pages and are not used for tracking across the site.
| Name / Pattern | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cf-* | Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot detection on the contact form (/contact). Distinguishes human visitors from automated bots. Used only on the contact page. | Session |
Analytics cookies None active
We do not currently use analytics cookies. We plan to add Google Analytics in the future. When we do, analytics cookies will be classified as non-essential and will require your consent before being set. This policy will be updated to list them.
Advertising / targeting cookies None active
We do not currently use advertising cookies. We may in the future use Google AdSense or similar advertising services. Advertising cookies will require your explicit consent before being set. This policy will be updated when such cookies are introduced.
4. Third-party technologies on specific pages
YouTube (video embeds)
Some recipe pages include videos embedded from YouTube using the privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. In this mode, YouTube does not set cookies until you interact with (play) the embedded video. If you play a video, YouTube may set cookies in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
We are implementing a consent gate for YouTube embeds as part of our consent management architecture, so that the embed only loads after you have acknowledged this.
5. How to manage cookies
Cookie settings button
Once our consent management platform (Termly) is fully configured, you will be able to manage your cookie preferences at any time via the button in the site footer.
Browser settings
You can also control cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive a warning before cookies are set. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the admin area from functioning. Public visitors are not affected by blocking optional cookies.
Guidance for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this Cookie Policy before introducing any new cookies or tracking technologies, particularly when analytics or advertising services go live. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
7. Contact
For questions about our use of cookies, see our Privacy Policy or contact us via the contact form.
